What we treat
Seven things people come to the dental surgery for
Each has its own page: what it is, who it is for, what happens at the visit, how many sittings, and aftercare.
Root canal treatment
Including single-sitting root canals, so a painful tooth is usually dealt with in one appointment rather than three.
Root canal treatment →Dental implants
Replacing a single missing tooth, several teeth, or a full arch, planned with digital X-ray. Implant-supported dentures too.
Dental implants →Braces & clear aligners
Conventional braces, lingual braces fitted behind the teeth, and clear removable aligners for adults.
Braces & clear aligners →Smile design & whitening
Laminates and veneers, professional whitening, and reshaping for chipped or uneven front teeth.
Smile design & whitening →Crowns, bridges & dentures
Ceramic and metal-ceramic crowns, bridges, complete and partial dentures, repair of a failed crown, and full mouth rehabilitation.
Crowns, bridges & dentures →Gum treatment & cleaning
Scaling and polishing, treatment of bleeding gums and gum disease, and maintenance visits. If you have diabetes, tell us.
Gum treatment & cleaning →Children’s dentistry
Check-ups, fillings, sealants and fluoride treatment, with preventive advice for parents.

Three steps, one surgery
Step 1
Call the dental line
Call +91 99670 20581 and tell us what is bothering you. Consultations are by appointment. A routine check-up can usually walk in during clinic hours. If you have diabetes, a heart condition or take blood thinners, say so when you book.
Step 2
Examination and X-ray
Dr Ria examines the mouth and, where needed, takes a digital dental X-ray on the spot. You are told what she found, what the options are, and the fee, before any treatment begins.
Step 3
Treatment and follow-up
Many treatments, including most root canals, are finished in a single sitting. Longer treatments such as implants, braces and full mouth rehabilitation are planned as one course, and every patient leaves with a maintenance interval.
Why here
A dental surgery inside a medical practice
I have treated families in Mulund East since 2001, and many of my patients today came first as children. The surgery is set up so that most of what you need happens in one place and, where the tooth allows it, in one visit: the X-ray is digital and on site, root canals are done in a single sitting, and every instrument is sterilised between patients.
What makes this surgery different is what is on the other side of the corridor. Dr Manoj Gerela’s heart and diabetes clinic and the diagnostics lab are in the same premises. For a patient with diabetes, high blood pressure or a heart condition, that means dental treatment can be planned with your medical picture in view, on the same day, rather than sending you elsewhere and waiting.
One practice, two doctors
Heart patients and dental treatment
If you take blood thinners, have high blood pressure or have diabetes, tell us before any dental treatment, not after. Extractions, implants and gum treatment are planned differently for you, and sometimes a medicine needs adjusting beforehand.
Because the diabetes clinic is in the same premises, an HbA1c can be checked here the same day, and Dr Manoj Gerela is on hand if the reading needs acting on or if your heart medication needs coordinating with the dental work. Uncontrolled blood sugar makes gum disease worse, and gum disease makes blood sugar harder to control, so the two clinics look after the same patients in both directions.

Questions people ask the dental desk
Do I need an appointment for the dentist?
For a consultation or any treatment, please call the dental line ahead, it saves you waiting. For a routine check-up you can usually walk in during clinic hours. If you have a toothache during clinic hours, call and we will do our best to see you the same day.
Is dental available at Bhandup West or Mulund West?
No. Dental is at the Mulund East clinic only, in Tata Colony off Navghar Road. Heart and diabetes care is at all three locations. If you are not sure where to come, call the dental line.
Is a root canal really done in one sitting?
Yes, where the tooth allows it. The surgery is set up for single-sitting root canal treatment, so cleaning, shaping and sealing happen in one appointment. Dr Ria will tell you if your tooth is better treated over two visits.
I have diabetes or a heart condition. Anything I should do before a dental appointment?
Tell us when you book, and bring a list of your medicines, especially blood thinners and blood pressure tablets. Because the diabetes clinic is in the same premises, an HbA1c can be checked the same day, and Dr Manoj Gerela is on hand if your treatment needs coordinating.
How much does dental treatment cost?
Fees are confirmed when you book, so you know the amount before you arrive. For larger treatments such as implants, braces or full mouth rehabilitation, the whole plan and its cost are explained after the examination and before anything starts.
